Spin Injection Device
The four tiny contacts in the middle are ferromagnetic Esaki diodes. They can be
used as injectors or detectors, to inject spins
into the channel or meassure the achieved spin-accumulation. The channel is 50
mm wide and 350 mm long. It is enclosed to its right
and left side by two big nonmagnetic contacts. The electrical contact to the
outside world is achieved by the big bonding-pads
and the bond wires. Andreas Einwanger
