Flux tube profiles at finite temperature

We present finite temperature results of profiles of a flux tube connecting a static qq pair. In particular, we study the behavior of the flux tube in the vicinity of the phase transition temperature. The simulations have been carried out in SU(2) gauge theory at two values of the lattice spacing on lattices with volumes 83, 16×82 and 24×122. A detailed investigation of the longitudinal and transverse distribution of energy and action is presented. It has been found that the physical width of the flux tube Dε decreases strongly with temperature T, while the width of the action density increases. We also find that the string tension Es as determined from the flux tube profile decreases with temperature.
